Women of God

Short post today, but I just want to encourage you as women of God, that we have a choice before us. 

Every day is an opportunity that will never pass by us again. 

Today we can be gentle, kind and pure before the Lord and others. We can soften our voices, smoothe out rough edges, and let our femininity be evident to all.

We can let the love of God flow through us and onto others.

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Women are addressed directly in God's word to dress modestly. Perhaps some women claim ignorance on this issue, but it is a fact and there is no way around it. In  like manner also , that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with brooded hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array  1 Tim 2:9  While we can't expect heathen women to follow this command, women "professing godliness" certainly should.  Why then do we see so many Christian women dressing themselves and their daughters in varying degrees of immodesty? Have you noticed how much we're hearing about anxiety lately?  Soooo many people are expressing their battle with anxiety. I do not want to be insensitive to anyone's feelings. But I believe that labeling yourself with anxiety just means you don't understand God's immense and deep LOVE for you. Feelings are temporal and they're centered on our perception, senses and thoughts. The good news is that God loves you SOOOO much and did the most amazing thing for you so that you can be FREE from anxiety and fear. Free from guilt and condemnation. Free from sin and free from the power of the Enemy. Jesus said to his disciples, "Let not your heart be troubled." He would never tell them to do something they couldn't do. Purging and Surging

We have been in our new house now for about 15 months now and it has been a roller coaster ride. We've done so many renovations and it's been quite the challenge living through the chaos that deconstruction brings. The dust, oh the dust!! But during all the work, my husband still works full time. Yes, he's amazing. AMAZING. He's done all the major work by himself, with me and our boys helping wherever we could. I admire his strength, stamina and talent so much. He does everything with integrity. Interestingly, right before we bought this house, we had a last minute hesitation. We felt at such a crossroad.
