Our Homeschool Schedule

Now that my kids are in older (one in 8th grade, one in 10th), their work load has increased and I have made a new schedule to help us accomplish it all in a decently short amount of time each day. 


So here is what we're doing:

8:00 - 8:25      Personal KJV Bible Study
                                 ("Why the King James Bible is the Perfect Word of God".)8:25 - 9:10      Alpha Omega Language Arts
9:10 - 9:55      Saxon Math
9:55 - 10:15    Break
10:15 - 11:00  Alpha Omeaga History
11:00 - 11:45  Wordly Wise

11:45 - 12:30   Lunch Break

12:30 - 1:15    Apologia Science
 1:15 - 1:40     Piano Practice
 1:40  - 1:55    Rosetta Stone French
 1:55 - 2:00     Mavis Beacon Typing

Our new schedule is working out really well and my kids are learning to do their schoolwork on their own which is important for homeschoolers.  If you have a homeschool schedule that is working for you, please share. :)

Women are addressed directly in God's word to dress modestly. Perhaps some women claim ignorance on this issue, but it is a fact and there is no way around it. How to Get Rid of Anxiety

Have you noticed how much we're hearing about anxiety lately?  Soooo many people are expressing their battle with anxiety. I do not want to be insensitive to anyone's feelings. But I believe that labeling yourself with anxiety just means you don't understand God's immense and deep LOVE for you. Feelings are temporal and they're centered on our perception, senses and thoughts. The good news is that God loves you SOOOO much and did the most amazing thing for you so that you can be FREE from anxiety and fear. Free from guilt and condemnation. Free from sin and free from the power of the Enemy. Jesus said to his disciples, "Let not your heart be troubled." He would never tell them to do something they couldn't do. Purging and Surging

We have been in our new house now for about 15 months now and it has been a roller coaster ride. We've done so many renovations and it's been quite the challenge living through the chaos that deconstruction brings. The dust, oh the dust!! But during all the work, my husband still works full time. Yes, he's amazing. AMAZING. He's done all the major work by himself, with me and our boys helping wherever we could. I admire his strength, stamina and talent so much. He does everything with integrity. Interestingly, right before we bought this house, we had a last minute hesitation. We felt at such a crossroad.
